SCHENECTADY, NY -- Andrew Gaus scored with one minute remaining in overtime to lift #9/#10 Yale University to a 2-1 win over Union College at Messa Rink Saturday night. The Bulldogs stand 4-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in ECAC Hockey. The Dutchmen are 3-6-3 overall and 1-5-0 in the league.

Gaus took a pass from Frankie DiChiara and fired a shot from the top of the circle to the right of the Union net for his second score of the season. Stu Wilson also assisted on the goal. Yale had a 4-1 shot advantage in the overtime, and 31-20 for the night.

Alex Sakellaropoulos made 29 saves for the Dutchmen while Alex Lyon stopped 19 for the Bulldogs.

The first period was scoreless with each team taking seven shots. Union's Brett Supinski gave the hosts a 1-0 lead at 14:53 of the second with his first career goal. He took a slapper from the point after passes from Greg Campbell and Nick DeSimone. The lead held up until early in the third. Ted Hart's first of the season came at 3:18 of the period to knot it at 1-1. Hart tipped in a drive from Cody Learned and the contest stood at 1-1 after regulation.
