Union Edges SUNY Oneonta, 5-4, in Season Finale

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Union concluded its 2014-15 season with a 5-4 win over SUNY Oneonta in a nonconference match held at the Heissan Tennis Courts. The match was a makeup of the April 9 date, postponed because of inclement weather.

The Garnet and White won the top three singles flights and the top two doubles slots.

T.J. Moor won a pair of matches, including his seventh-straight singles win, with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Benjamin Leighton at the No. 1 position. Senior Grant Zaccareo went 2-0 on the day, winning in straight sets win at No. 3 singles, and partnering with Spencer Fontein for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles. Zaccareo finished his career at Union with 36 combined victories.

Anthony Laurencio posted a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Mackenzie Park at No. 2 singles. Senior Michael Donadio capped his career with a hard-fought 9-8 (8-6) loss at No. 3 doubles. He appeared in 44 career matches in three seasons as a starter after transfering from Clarkson.

The Dutchmen finished 3-10 overall on the season.
