TROY, NY—The Union College women's swimming and diving team fell 145-98 to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Friday evening. The Dutchwomen tallied 16 top three finishes.
Sarah Dimmitt placed second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions, with scores of 234.55 and 263.40, respectively.
In the 1000-yard freestyle,
Brittany Kenny finished second with a time of 11:22.11.
Emilee Nason followed her up with a third-place finish and time of 11:24.11. In the 200-yard freestyle race,
Christina Belforti finished first with a time of 1:56.59.
Christy Brown and
Heather Wright placed second and third, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle. Brown finished in 25.43 and Wright was timed as 25.53.
In the 200-yard individual medley, Kenny finished second with a time of 2:17.33. Belforti placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 59.66. Belforti also raked in a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.40).
Jennifer Nutter tallied a third in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 1:04.10. In the 100-yard freestyle Wright placed first with a time of 55.05, while
Lindsay Hemminger finished third (55.57).
Wright also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:18.98. While Kenny finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.73). In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Brown, Hemminger,
Naina Thota and
Alexis Wojtowicz placed first with a time of 1:41.84.
The Dutchwomen go on the road to Middlebury on Saturday, January 16 at 1 p.m.Â
