SCHENECTADY, NY—The Union College women's swimming and diving teams placed first in five events, but ultimately fell 184-111 to Amherst College on Saturday afternoon.

Christina Belforti placed first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.40, she finished nearly three seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Heather Wright placed first with a time of 25.23 in the 50-yard freestyle, while Jennifer Fromm placed first in the 200-yard butterfly (2:18.45).

Sarah Dimmitt swept the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions scoring 214.56 and 260.47, respectively.

The Dutchwomen take on Hartwick and Springfield in a tri-meet in Oneonta, N.Y., on January 9 at 1 p.m.
