SCHENECTADY, NY—The Union College men's swimming and diving team fell to Hamilton 175-125 on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Cameron Robertson qualified for NCAA Regionals with his 3-meter dive. He placed second in the event and tallied a score of 295.13.
Sam Hoyt placed first in the 1-meter (332.99) and third in the 3-meter (294.38). Matt Mintz finished third in the 1-meter (258.75) and placed first in the 3-meter (331.73).
The Dutchmen started off the day by placing first in the 200-yard medley relay. The quartet of
Brendan McClure,
John Enquist,
Andrew Wojtowicz and
Dan Steinmetz finished in 1:39.43. Enquist added three more first-place finishes under his belt, as he tallied victories in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.45), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:10.31) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:59.60).
Steinmetz finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.60. He also finished third in the 100-yard freestyle (50.25) and finished third in the 100-yard butterfly (55.65). McClure tallied a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 56.04 and a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:01.52.
Jack Wassik placed third in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:45.79. Wojtowicz finished first in the 100-yard freestyle (49.76) and second in the 200-yard freestyle (55.45).
Wassik led the quartet of
Harrison Brown,
Nathan Hamera and
Ryan Josiah to a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with a time of 3:26.98.
The Dutchmen take on Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y., on Saturday, January 30 at 2 p.m.
