ITHACA, NY—The Union College women's swimming and diving team fell to Ithaca College 168.5- 131.5. Union tallied eight first-place finishes.
In the 1000-yard freestyle,
Heather Wright finished first with a time of 10:55.28. While
Christy Brown finished first in the 50-yard freestyle (25.21) and the 100-yard freestyle (55.11).
Christina Belforti also placed first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.38) and 200-yard backstroke (2:09.65).
Brittany Kenny tallied a first-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley relay in 2:16.88. The Union quartet of Wright,
Lindsay Hemminger,
Naina Thota and Brown raced to a 3:44.82 first-place finish.
In the 1-meter event,
Sarah Dimmitt finished second with a score of 251.40. She finished first in the 3-meter event with a score of 271.00.Â
The Union College team returns to the pool on Feb. 17 in the UNYSCSA Championships in Ithaca, NY. Â Â
