SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - The Union College women's swimming team beat Skidmore College 158-76 in Saratoga Springs, NY.
The Dutchwomen won 10 events on Saturday afternoon including the first five events of the meet at Williamson Sports Center.
Union won both relay events in the day as
Jennifer Nutter,
Emily Quinn, Alexis Wojtowitz and
Naina Thota came in first in the 200 yd medley relay finishing just hundredths of seconds ahead of the Skidmore A relay team.
The final event of the day was 200 yd freestyle relay. The Dutchwomen finished one and two in the event as it was the B team of
Lindsay Hemminger,
Heather Wright,
Emilee Nason and Thota edging out the A team of
Christy Brown,
Christina Belforti, Jaclyn Gehrig and
Claire Hadelman with a time of 1:44.78. The A team finished with a time of 1:46.16.
These two events netted Union 28 points as it was well on its way to victory.
The Dutchwomen are back in the pool next Saturday when they play host to Williams College at Alumni Gymnasium. The event is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
