SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—The Union College men's ice hockey team closes out the regular season on the road at #16 Cornell and Colgate. The Dutchmen take on the Big Red at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26, before their regular season finale against the Raiders at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27.
 
PLAYOFF PICTURE //
The Dutchmen sit ninth in the ECAC Hockey standings, trailing Clarkson by three points for the final home playoff spot. The Golden Knights close out the regular season with home games against #12/12 Harvard and Dartmouth.
 
UNLIKELY HEROES //
Last weekend Eli Lichtenwald and J.C. Brassard combined for three goals and two assists. Lichtenwald's goal against Princeton was his first since Jan. 23 and his goal against Quinnipiac marked the first time this season that he scored in back-to-back games. Brassard recorded his second multi-point game of the season against the top-ranked Bobcats, netting just his second goal of the year and the fourth of his career.
 
THE CORNELL SERIES //

SERIES VS. THE BIG RED //
Union is 19-29-7 all-time against Cornell in its Division I era. The Dutchmen have won three of their last four at Lynah Rink, two of which came during the first round in last year's ECAC Hockey playoffs, outscoring Cornell 16-5 in that span.
 
THIS SEASON //

Union 3, #7/8 Cornell 3 (OT)
Union erased a two-goal third-period deficit, battling back to earn a 3-3 tie against Cornell in this season's first meeting between the two teams. Freshman goaltender Joe Young made his first career appearance, stopping all 13 shots he faced over the final 35:18 after coming in to relieve Jake KupskyNick DeSimone tied a career-high with three points on a goal and two assists and Sebastien Vidmar and Spencer Foo each contributed a goal and an assist.
 
THE COLGATE SERIES //

SERIES VS. THE RAIDERS //
Union is 18-34-3 against Colgate in its Division I era and 0-3-0 in the last three meetings between the two teams. The Dutchmen last win at Starr Rink was a 5-3 decision on February 25, 2012.
 
THIS SEASON //

Union 2, Colgate 4
Colgate used a three-goal third period to secure a 4-2 win at Messa Rink in the first meeting between the two teams this season. The Raiders netted two power-play goals and a short-handed goal in the victory. Tim Harrison led Colgate with a pair of goals and Adam Dauda had two assists. Nick DeSimone and Brett Supinski each contributed a goal for the Dutchmen.
