ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.—Birmingham-Southern College handed the Union College men's tennis team a 9-0 loss on Monday morning in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
The Dutchmen go to 1-4, while the Panthers, who are ranked 14th in the Atlantic South Region, move to 6-2.
Birmingham-Southern swept doubles, losing just four games to take a 3-0 lead. The Panthers carried the momentum into singles play, dropping no sets and just seven games to secure the 9-0 win.
The Dutchmen close out their Spring Break trip Tuesday, March 22 with matches against St. Scholastica and Western Connecticut. Union faces the Saints at 12:30 p.m. before taking on the Colonials at 7 p.m.
