Box Score CLEARWATER, FL -- The #9 Colby College women's lacrosse team posted a 12-8 win over Union College on Monday in Florida.
The Mules improve to 3-1 overall while the Dutchwomen, who received votes in this week's IWLCA poll, are 1-2.
The Mules had 11 players score the 12 goals. Abby Hooper was the lone Colby player with multiple goals with two. Kendall Smith had one goal and two assists, while Claire Caputi, Bridget Horwood, and Kelsey Bowen all had one goal and one assist. Emma Marjollet, Gemma Bready, Dana Swaffield, Celeste Murtha, Lexie Perticone, and Chrissy Coveney also tallied for the Mules.
Maggie Comiskey led the Dutchwomen with three goals.
Jessica Farland added two goals, while
Jackie Hagopian and
Kellie Cronin each finished with one.
The Mules had a 22-10 ground ball advantage and both teams had 18 shots. Colby was 15 for 18 in clears while the Dutchwomen were 15 of 17.
Union is back in action Wednesday vs. Williams in the final game of the week in Florida.
