ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Union College men's tennis team was swept 9-0 by Rochester on Sunday afternoon at the Lyman Tennis Center in Rochester, N.Y.
The Dutchmen go to 2-7, while the Yellowjackets, who rank 20
th in the Northeast Region, go to 7-7. The sweep marked Rochester's fourth straight 9-0 win.
Rochester took a 3-0 after doubles play. The number one doubles match between Union's
Max McGeown and Brendan Conry and the Yellowjackets Ben Shapiro and Andrew Nunno went down to the wire, but Rochester claimed the 8-6 victotry.
Sam Leeman gave the Yellowjackets their fourth point of the day with a 6-1, 6-0 win over
Max Sandberg at number four and Ian Baranowski clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Conry Jr. at number two.
Union goes on the road to face Hamilton at 4 p.m., Thursday April 14.
