SCHENECTADY, NY—The Union College men's tennis team fell 9-0 to Vassar College in a Liberty League match, Saturday afternoon at the Union tennis courts.
The Dutchmen go to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Liberty League, while the Brewers move to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in league play.
David Bond and
Max McGeown forced a tiebreak with Vassar's top pair of Nick Litsky and Dom Demeterfi, but the Brewers battled to a 9-7 win, sweeping doubles.
The Brewers clinched the match when Nick Litsky notched a 6-1, 6-0 win against Bond at No. 1.
The Dutchmen return to the court at 1 p.m., Sunday, September 25, making the short trip to take on crosstown rival Skidmore.
