Christina Belforti all took home individual wins for the Union College women's swimming and diving team in Satruday afternoon's loss to Middlebury College at Alumni Gymnasium.
In the 13 event meet, Middlebury came away with the team win with a score of 150-91.
Kelly captured the first individual win for the Dutchwomen in the 200 yd freestyle race as she finished with a time of 1:58.97 to grab her team nine points. In her next event, she one again touched first at the wall with a time of 1:00.85 just a second ahead of the next competitor in the 100 yd butterfly. Kelly also finished second in the 500 yd freestyle with a time of 5:19.63.
For the third straight meet, Belforti swept every race that she competed in. The first was the 200 yd IM beating the field by 2.5 seconds as she finished with a time 2:12.48. Next was the 100 yd backstoke. Belforti finished just a second ahead of Celia Ripple of Middlebury finishing with a time of 1:00.12 seconds.
In the final race for Belforti, she helped the 200 yd freestyle relay team to a 1:40.44 finished along with Hemminger,
Christy Brown and
Heather Wright.
Hemminger picked up her individual win in the 50 yd freestyle as a time of 25.30 was .09 seconds better than the next competitor.
Union is back in the pool on Jan. 21 when it travels to Hamilton College for a 2:00 p.m. meet in Clifton, NY.
