CLINTON, NY - The Union College men's swimming and diving team picked up its second consecutive victory on Saturday defeating Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
After picking win in 10 of the events in the Hamilton Dual Meet, the Dutchmen won by a final team score of 166-132.
The first race of the day was the 200 Yard Medley Relay. The Union team of
Joseph Perks,
John Enquist,
Andrew Wojtowicz and
Jack Wassik won by a second as they finished with a time of 1:40.26 seconds.
Enquist continued his winnings way as he tallied three individual wins on the day. The first was the 100 Yard Breaststroke in which he won by a second and a half with a time of 1:00.58.
Zibin Han (1:02.11) and Louis Angel (1:03.96) placed second and third as the Dutchmen picked up 16 points in the event.
Next for Enquist was the 500 Yard Freestyle, he won by five seconds touching the wall at 4:52.61 seconds. And in his final race of the day, he finished with a time of 4:17.69 in the 400 IM six seconds clear of Hamilton's Ryan Cassidy.
Union would also sweep the diving events as
Matthew Mintz took the 3m competition with a score of 331.43.
Sam Hoyt took the 1m event with a score of 341.63.
The Dutchmen are back in the water on Jan. 28 playing host to Ithaca College at 2:00 p.m.
