SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Union College women's swimming and diving team combined for 11 event wins in the Springfield College meet on Saturday afternoon in Springfield, MA.

The meet featured teams from Union, Springfield College and Hartwick College.

The Dutchwomen's first win of the afternoon came when junior Heather Wright touched the wall first in the 1000 yd freestyle. Her time of 11:01.77 was just .21 seconds ahead of Haley Cordrey of Springfield.

Senior Christina Belforti followed that up with a victory in the 200 yd freestyle as her time of 1:56.88 was a second better than the next competitor.

First year Kerry Kelly picked up a win in the 200 yd butterfly competition with a time of 2:14.79. She followed that up with wins in the 500 yd freestyle as well as the 200 IM which she won by just .26 seconds ahead of Olivia Paione of Springfield.

Christina Belfori won every race she competed in Saturday afternoon anchoring the 400 yd freestyle to a 3:49.19 time. She claimed individual victories in the 100 yd butterfly, 200 yd backstroke and 200 yd freestyle.

Union is back in the pool on Jan. 13th when it hosts RPI at Alumni Gymnasium at 6:00 p.m.
