SCHENECTADY, NY – The Union College Dutchmen's swimming and diving squad sped to victory over Skidmore College this afternoon, 135-76.
The men swept both relay races, bringing home 22 points for Union right away.
First year Joseph Lifrak made his collegiate debut in the 50-yard freestyle this afternoon, bringing home first place with a time of 23.42.
Brendan McClure and Seif Refaat each won two individual races. McClure secured his wins in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle races. Refaat placed first in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard butterfly. He was six seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Dutchmen
Owen Perks also took home first in the 100-yard backstroke.
Sam Hoyt won the 3 m diving competition, with a total score of 334.50 and Matt Mintz defeated Hoyt, to later win first place in the 1 m diving round, with a score of 295.20.
Union returns to action next Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. against Williams College.
