Last Time Out
The Dutchwomen last competed on the weekend of Nov. 10-11, and dropped a pair of conference games to Quinnipiac and Princeton Universities. Against the Bobcats, the Dutchwomen were leading the game 3-2, on a pair of
Sierra Lee goals, until two seconds left in regulation. QU's Taylor House netted the equalizer as time had nearly expired, and Melissa Samoskevich went on to score the game-winning goal in overtime. Union struggled to get started offensively against Princeton, as the Tigers would shutout the Dutchwomen 3-0.
Scouting the Black Bears
Historically, the Dutchwomen are 5-10-5 when facing off against UMaine. The matchup with the Black Bears dates back to December 2003, where the Dutchwomen lost 1-8. Last season, Union dropped the weekend pair in 1-2 and 1-3 losses.
Jordi Naidrich and
Caitlyn McLaren each scored a goal during the games. The Black Bears are 8-5-1 this season, with big victories over No. 9 Quinnipiac and No. 10 Robert Morris. Head Coach Richard Reichenbach enters his eighth season with UMaine and his fourth season at the helm of the Black Bears.
