ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Union College men's tennis team fell to RIT, 6-3, Sunday in Rochester. The Dutchmen go to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in Liberty League play, while the Tigers move to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in conference.
The Tigers opened a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles play before clinching the victory with wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles
Del Schunk got Union on the board, posting a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 win at No. 2.
Justin Gold earned a 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 win at No. 5 singles and
Max McGeown won the final match of the day, 6-5, 7-6 (7-3) at No. 6.
The Dutchmen travel to Hilton Head, S.C. March 19-21. Union opens its spring trip against Frostburg State.
