THIS WEEKEND
Union heads north for its first road games of the new year. The Dutchwomen stop at Canton on Friday to take on the SLU Saints at 6 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. puck drop in Potsdam on Saturday to face No. 3 Clarkson University.

LAST TIME OUT
Union vs. Dartmouth – Jan. 5
Haley Shugart scored two goals against Dartmouth last Friday night, but it wouldn't be enough for the Dutchwomen to close in on a victory over the Big Green. With the loss, Union moved to 3-6 in ECAC play on the season. The Dutch are now 2-27 all-time when facing Dartmouth.

Union vs. Harvard – Jan. 6
The Dutchwomen defeated the Crimson for just the second time in program history last Saturday. Goaltender Coco Francis earned the victory, in 3-1 fashion, and made 29 saves. Arianna Kosakowski scored the first goal of the night, and Cheyenne Harris scored the ultimate game-winner. Harris scored again, with 13 seconds left, on an empty netter to solidify the victory.

WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING
St. Lawrence is currently tied for fourth place in the ECAC standings, with Harvard, at 6-3-1. The Saints' three league losses come from two games against defending National Champions Clarkson University and one against Cornell. The Dutchwomen fell 1-5 to SLU on Dec. 9. At the time, St. Lawrence was ranked #8 in USCHO polls.

KNIGHTS DEFENDING THE CASTLE
The Clarkson Golden Knights stand alone at the top of the ECAC standings and sit at #3 in the USCHO polls. Last time out, the Dutchwomen held the defending National Champions to a 1-1 game until the third period. In the final 20 minutes, the Golden Knights went on an unanswered four-goal tear to defeat Union 5-1.

FOLLOW THE LEADER
Cheyenne Harris ranks twelfth in the ECAC for assists, with 11 on the year. With 16 career assists, she has the highest number of assists registered by a Dutchwoman before the end of her sophomore campaign. Maddy Norton, '14, holds the single season record for assists with 18, which she did in the 2013-14 season. Harris also currently leads the Dutchwomen in points (15) and game-winning goals (3). With her three game-winning goals, Harris has tied the record for most in a single season, during the Division I era. Maddy Norton also had three during the 2013-14 season.

SHUGART'S SHOT
Sophomore Haley Shugart earned herself ECAC Player of the Week honors for the week of Dec. 4. Scoring three goals, she led the ECAC in scoring during the respective weekend. Shugart now leads the team in goals with nine on the year, and has two assists. Despite missing the first six games of the season due to injury, Shugart has contributed immensely to the Dutch's success. All six of Union's wins have come since her return to the ice.

LAST ONE BEST ONE
Union's senior class trio is arguably having the best individual seasons of their respective careers. Defenseman Brandy Streeter scored her first two career goals this season and leads the team with 34 blocked shots. Caitlyn McLaren, a key to Union's power play unit, has three goals and 10 assists on the year, tallying the most points she has earned in an individual season in her career. Forward Katie Laughlin has four goals and three assists this season alone. For her first three years, Laughlin had just two goals and five assists.

TIS' THE SEASON
With last weekend's win, the Dutchwomen have snatched their sixth win of the season – surpassing last season's win total (5). The win over Harvard also gave Union its fourth ECAC win of the year, which ties the program record for conference wins in a season.
