TROY, NY - The RPI Engineers defeated the Union swimming and diving team this evening, with a 163-77 victory over the Dutch.
Seif Refaat had another stellar performance for the Dutchmen, as he took home first place in two races today. Refaat brought home 18 individual points, with wins in the 200 IM (2:01.92) and the 200 fly (2:00.09).
Sam Hoyt continues to be a steady hand for Union and swept the diving events this evening. In both the 1 and 3 meter dives, Hoyt won first place and tallied 18 points for the Dutchmen.Â
Davis Harrington also competed in both diving events and has now qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships. Harrington will join Hoyt and Matt Mintz in March to compete for a chance to go to the NCAA meet.
With a quick turnaround, the Dutchmen will compete at Middlebury College tomorrow afternoon.
