SCHENECTADY, NY - The Union College Dutchwomen snapped their six meet losing streak this evening, defeating Hamilton College 155-125 during the team's senior meet.
Senior
Lindsay Hemminger went out of her final meet at Union with a bang. She won the 200 free in 1:58.97, the 50 free in 25.00 and the 100 free in 54.29. According to Head Coach
Scott Felix, Hemminger's performance in the 100 free was the fastest he has seen by any Dutchwomen during a duel meet in his time coaching Union.
Hemminger also anchored the medley relay and took home first place along with her teammates,
Emily Quinn,
Annie O'Donnell and
Kerry Kelly.
Kelly was another huge factor in tonight's win. She won the 200 fly, 200 back and 200 IM today, tallying 27 points for the Dutch.
In addition, junior
Anna Gagion swept the women's diving events, tacking on another 18 points for Union's overall score.
Emilee Nason won the 1000 free, with a time of 11.06:93 and Quinn won the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke with times of 1:12.49 and 2:33.86, respectively.
Union honored Hemminger and
Heather Wright, its two graduating seniors, in tonight's meet.
