Reilly Named D3football.com All-American

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Senior Jack Reilly of the Union College football team added one more big honor to his incredible resume over the weekend, as he was named to the D3football.com All-America teams, the website announced on Friday night before Stagg Bowl XLVI.

Reilly was named an All-America honorable mention, earning the first All-America honors for the football team since Noah Joseph '13 in 2012 and becoming the 26th player in program history to receive All-America accolades.

Reilly had an excellent senior season for the Dutchmen, earning D3football.com All-East Region and All-Liberty League first-team honors this season as well. The senior led the Liberty League in both tackles for loss (17.5) and sacks (8.5), ranking 13th and 29th nationally in the respective categories, while also finishing third on the team with 51 tackles.

In four years with the garnet and white, Reilly's 51 tackles for loss are more than double any Union player since 2003 and his 19.5 career sacks are also most for a Dutchman in the last 15 years. In addition, Reilly is the 20th player in school history to record 200 career tackles, finishing his career with 214.

Off the field, the economics major is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic Team selection and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team as a senior as well.
