ITHACA, NY - Liberty League foe, Ithaca College, dominated past the Union College men's swimming and diving team this weekend, defeating the Dutchmen 197-97.
Despite the loss, Union's diving trio of
Sam Hoyt, Matthew Mintz and
Davis Harrington continue to show their strength throughout the league. The three Dutchmen swept both the 1 and 3 meter diving competitions, respectively. This weekend marks Hoyt's second consecutive win in the 1 meter dive.
Seifeldin Refaat competed well, winning the 100 fly (53.51) and taking home second place in the 200 fly (2:01.30) and IM (2:03.18). Refaat's 100 fly performance marked a new season-best for the sophomore.
The men's 200 medley relay team (
Owen Perks,
Tommy Han,
Nathan Hamer and
Andrew Wojtowicz) collected four points for a second place finish, touching the wall, just five second's after Ithaca's winning team, at 1:42.36.

The Dutchmen will take a break from competition this week to prepare for the Liberty League Championships on Feb. 21 in Ithaca, NY.
