SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Senior
Nicole Conley of the Union College women's basketball team is the subject of a piece in today's edition of the
Daily Gazette. In the piece, Mike MacAdam contrasts the success that Conley is having on the court as Division III's leader in blocks with her challenging work off the court as a biomedical engineering major.
On campus, Conley and two of her classmates are working on a capstone project designing a means to catch blood clots before they become pulmonary embolisms. Off campus, she also spent the summer working alongside volunteer assistant coach
Amy Loya '14 as a counselor at the
Youth Sports Lab, where they worked with middle schoolers to integrate STEM research and analytics into basketball.
