SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's soccer team coach Jeff Guinn has named seniors Salvador Lopez Jr., Yasin Dombayci, Griffin Cowles, and junior Conor Willsie as team captains for the 2019 season.
 
Lopez was a All-Liberty League first-team selection in 2018 after leading the league in goals and points. He led the line for the majority of the season and accounted for 10 goals and four assists for a team-high 24 points, improving his 2017 point total by nine points (15 to 24).
 
Dombayci was a consistent presence in the center of midfield for the Dutchmen this season, and totaled two goals and two assists for four points in the 2018 campaign.

Willsie and Cowles were key parts of the Union defensive unit in their junior seasons a well. Willsie started all 16 matches and ranked second on the squad in minutes played from his defense position, while Cowles also appeared in all 16 matches and made 11 starts for the Dutchmen.
 
On the captain selection, Coach Guinn commented, "These 4 have done a very good job on the field and in the classroom.  I feel they will be great representatives for Union on and off the field."
