Final Results
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Union College women's crew team finished off the 2018-19 season on Saturday morning, taking part in the New York State Collegiate Championships on Fish Creek at Saratoga Lake.
The varsity 8 boat crossed the finish line in 7:16.85, taking third in their heat and 10th overall out of 13 teams. The varsity 4 boat finished in ninth place out of 11 boats, rowing the course in 8:43.85. In addition the novice 8 boat traversed the waters in 7:59.19 to place sixth out of nine competing teams.
Union also competed in three petit finals on the afternoon. The varsity 8 finished in 7:20.72 to place fourth, the varsity 4 bettered their time by almost six seconds to place third with a time of 8:37.92, while the novice 8 won the petit final in 8:02.80.
The state championships brings the 2018-19 season to end, as the Dutchwomen bid farewell to their four graduating seniors:
