Women’s Hockey announces 2019-2020 schedule

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's team has announced its slate of 34 games for the upcoming 2019-2020 season. The Dutchwomen will play 17 home games, including nonconference matchups against Northeastern and Boston University as well as 11 ECAC Hockey contests.
 
Union will start the season with an exhibition against the Toronto Jr. Aeros on Sept. 21 at Messa Rink, but the official home opener is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4, against Northeastern. Union will then host Boston University on Sunday, Oct. 6, to finish out that weekend.
 
Union's matchup with cross-town rival Rensselaer is scheduled for Jan. 24-25. Friday's game will be played at Messa Rink, while the teams will head to the Times Union Center on Saturday to battle in the third annual Mayor's Cup clash.
 
The Dutchwomen host Syracuse for a single game on Oct. 29 and RIT for another single game on Nov. 19. Union hosts Bemidji State on Dec. 13-14 for the final nonconference games of the regular season.
 
Union begins ECAC Hockey play at home on November 1-2 against Clarkson and St. Lawrence and also hosts Princeton and Quinnipiac; on November 15-16 in the final home conference games of 2019. After a road series to start the New Year, the Dutchwomen return to Messa Rink for five straight conference clashes: January 10-11 against Cornell and Colgate, January 17-18 versus Brown and Yale, and January 24 against RPI.

The home schedule will finish on February 14-15 with Senior Weekend games against Dartmouth and Harvard.
 
Union's nonconference road games include a trip to Pittsburgh to start the season against Robert Morris on Sept. 27-28. The Dutchwomen will also travel to St. Louis for a two-game series against Lindenwood, Oct. 18-19, and to Erie, Pa., for a two-game series against Mercyhurst on Nov. 29-30.
 
The Dutchwomen's road ECAC Hockey series are: Nov. 8-9 at Yale and Brown; Dec. 6-7 at St. Lawrence and Clarkson; Jan. 3-4 at Harvard and Dartmouth; Feb. 7-8 at Quinnipiac and Princeton, and the regular season finales on Feb. 21-22 at Colgate and Cornell.
 
ECAC Hockey playoffs being with quarterfinals on Feb. 28-March 1, while the ECAC Hockey semifinals and final will be played March 7-8.
 
NCAA Quarterfinals are set for the weekend of March 13-15, while the 2020 Women's Frozen Four will be played at Agganis Arena in Boston, March 20-22.
