ALBANY, N.Y. – The Union College men's crew team got its 2019 fall season off to a good start on Saturday at the Head of the Hudson Regatta, posting a pair of third-place finishes under beautiful skies on the Hudson River.
In the men's collegiate 8+, Union took third place out of seven teams by finishing the 3,200-meter course in 9:51.16, finishing less than 10 seconds behind the St. Lawrence B boat and two seconds ahead of the St. Lawrence A boat.
The Dutchmen also placed third out of eight teams in the men's collegiate 4+, crossing the finish line in 11:28.38, ahead of both St. Lawrence boats and just behind second-place Binghamton.
Union will return to the water on October 13, when the squad heads to Syracuse for the Head of the Onondaga Regatta.
