MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team split a tri-meet at Middlebury College on Saturday afternoon, defeating Clarkson University by a 161-130 score and falling to the host Panthers, 237-63.
Senior
Kerry Kelly continued her solid season with a pair of victories in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly. She touched the wall in 11:03.48 to finish more than 10 seconds clear of the field in the 1,000 free, and was even more dominant in the 200 fly, winning by more than five seconds in 2:12.53. The senior also defeated Clarkson and took third overall in the 200-yard individual medley, touching in 2:18.20.
Junior
Amanda Lopez led the Dutchwomen on the boards, sweeping the one-meter and three-meter events. Lopez took first on the high boards with a mark of 238.80 points for a win of more than five points over Middlebury, and also earned a six-point win on the low boards with a score of 233.45.

Elise Liebow and
Jessica Frigon also contributed to the win with a time of 1:58.50 that earned fourth place behind three Middlebury entries.
Liebow also earned an individual win over Clarkson in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing fifth overall in 1:04.30, as did
Emma Donlan with a time of 2:20.11 in the 200-yard backstroke that placed her fourth. Quinn also earned fourth individually in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing in 2:35.69, while senior
Claire Hadelman took fifth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:44.72.
The Dutchwomen will return home for a pair of meets at Alumni Gym Pool next week, beginning on Wednesday with a dual meet against Hamilton College starting at 6 p.m.
