With the spring sports season canceled at its very beginning (or before it even started, for some Union teams) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UnionAthletics.com will spend the next few months spotlighting many of the Union seniors whose athletic careers came to a premature end. Previous senior profiles can be viewed by heading to http://www.unionathletics.com/seniorspotlights.

Mary Trop appeared in 13 games over her four-year career with the Union women's lacrosse team. She scored a career-high seven goals with three assists for 10 points in six games as a junior, and was well on her way to career-best numbers as a senior, already netting six goals with two assists for eight points in the first four contests – including a breakout five-goal, two-assist performance in
the season-opening win over Maritime on February 27. For her career, she scored 13 goals with six assists for 19 points in 13 games.
Â
Trop also made contributions off the field for Union, serving on the executive board of Union's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in addition to chairing the Orientation Committee and serving as a member of the Garnet Society. The economics major also is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic Team honoree.
