About the Dutchwomen:

Friday's Game:
The game on Friday between UNH and Union will be picked up and played on TSN in addition to ESPN+. NCAA hockey returns to TSN for an eighth consecutive year in 2021-22, with Canada's Sports Leader delivering an extensive broadcast schedule of U.S. college hockey, including an unprecedented number of women's games. TSN and College Hockey Inc. unveiled the network's
November schedule last week, featuring 19 games through the end of the month.
National Rankings:
The Dutchwomen are tied for 16th among all Division 1 teams with eight power-play goals so far in 2021-22. Senior
Grace Heiting and first-year
Maren Friday lead the team with two power-play goals each. Four of those eight PPGs came in the opening weekend sweep of RIT on October 1-2.
About the Wildcats:
-The Wildcats are coming off a 3-2 loss at home against #10 Harvard on Tuesday night.
-UNH has yet to win away from home this season, posting an 0-5-1 record in road games.
-Freshman Kira Juodikis is leading the Wildcats with seven goals on the season, and is tied for the team lead with 10 points this season.
-Junior Tamara Thierus is tied for the team lead with six assists and also tied for the lead in points with 10.
Last Time They Played:
The Wildcats traveled to Schenectady and beat the Dutchwomen 4-2 at Messa Rink in 2013. The teams were tied 2-2 headed into the third period, where UNH scored twice including an empty net to cap off a win.
History:
Union is 0-3 against UNH all-time, but the teams have not played since 2013. The first meeting among these teams took place on October 16, 2010. Union is averaging 1.6 goals in those three games, while UNH has averaged 3.6 goals in the three meetings against Union
Fresh Faces:
The Union College women's hockey team entered the year with 15 players who have never played a collegiate hockey game. Seven sophomores returned after not seeing the ice last year because of the pandemic, while eight first-years also played in their first collegiate games for the Dutchwomen in the season-opener at RIT.

Cassidy Michalicka was named the captain following serving as an assistant captain in the 2019-20 season for the Dutchwomen. Classmate
Grace Heiting was named a captain for the 2021-22 season as well.
