TROY, N.Y. – Three members of the Union College women's golf team were recognized for their play during the challenging Spring 2021 season with spots on the All-Liberty League Teams, the conference office announced on Friday morning.
 
Junior Kiara Beckham and sophomores Colleen Buckley and Alexandra Cymbal all were honored on the All-Liberty League second team, marking the most All-Conference honors in a single-season in program history. The honors are the first for each student-athlete.
 
Cymbal was Union's top scorer during the abbreviated 2021 spring campaign, averaging 86.0 strokes per round and posting top-10 finishes in all four events, including three top-five results. A three-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week honoree, she shot a season-best round of 83 in leading the Dutchwomen to a win at the Union Invitational in April and capped her season by tying for second place at the Liberty League Championships, carding rounds of 85 and 88.
 
Buckley had a solid sophomore campaign for Union as well in 2021, ranking second on the team by averaging 90.2 strokes per round and finishing in the top-10 of all four events. She started the season with back-to-back rounds of 86 at the William Smith Invitational and Union Invitational, earning second and third place, respectively, and finished with two of the team's five low rounds of the season.
 
Beckham also posted a top-10 result in all four events for Union during her junior season, finishing the year with a 91.6 scoring average over five rounds. Her best round of the season was an 87 at William Smith that earned her a third-place finish individually, and she matched that total at the Ithaca Invitational to place ninth as well.
 
With all three All-Conference honorees slated to return next season, the Dutchwomen are well positioned to continue their progress with a full roster and a full year of competition in 2021-22.
