SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – In the first home event of the 2022 calendar year, the Union College men's swimming and diving team fell to rival Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 203-81, Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.
Sophomore
Matthew Kenvin won two races for the Dutchmen, finishing first in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.82) and in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.75). Kenvin placed second in the 200-yard IM (2:00.86) after narrowly getting edged out at the wall. The sophomore competed in the second-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:40.96) alongside senior

Sophomore
Zack Panlilio continued his strong campaign, finishing second in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:17.98) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.63).
Javier Jr. swam to a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a season-best time of 56.48.
The Dutchmen are scheduled to travel to Hamilton College on Wednesday, January 19. The first event is slated for 6:00 p.m. at Bristol Pool.
