SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's hockey team saw their undefeated home record snapped by #12/13 Harvard University in a 5-1 loss Saturday night at Messa Rink.
First-year

After Mason Langenbrunner was called for a hold at 10:06 of the first period, it only took the Crimson 20 seconds to score short-handed as Sean Farrell found the back of the net.
Harvard broke open the game with three goals in the second period. Matthew Coronato attempted a wraparound shot and the puck deflected off of Joe Miller for the score. Hanley added a goal 1:07 later to cut the lead to one. Nixon forced a turnover near the defensive blue line and brought it back to the offensive zone where he fired a shot on Harvard netminder Derek Mullahy. Nixon's shot rebounded and Hanley was there to bury it. Farrell added his second goal of the night later in the frame before Coronato found the back of the net in the final 43 seconds left in the middle stanza.
