ALBANY, N.Y. – The Albany Rush have announced Union College men's soccer head coach Matt Brown as the team's next head coach for the upcoming 2023 season. Brown will oversee all duties of the USL II program as he moves into his second season with the Dutchmen.

The Albany Rush USL II will begin their second season in the Capital Region after their inaugural season in 2022. The Rush posted a 3-10-1 record and finished in eighth place overall.

"I am very excited to be a part of this project, and I look forward to leading the team for the upcoming season. I believe a solid group of players is returning, and we are looking to add to the group over the next few months," mentioned Brown. "Our aim is to be competitive within our conference while aiding players in their development and preparation for college and beyond. It will be a great summer of soccer in the Capital Region."

Brown coached the Dutchmen to a 5-8-3 record in his first season as at the helm with Union, including wins over Russell Sage, Plattsburgh State, and Clarkson.
