SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – In a meet that saw many members of the Union College men's swimming and diving team set new lifetime bests, the team ultimately fell to rival Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 180-88, Sunday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.
Senior
Jack Tucker claimed the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:47.93. Tucker also finished first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.66.
Sophomore
Colin Farrell finished first in the 3-meter diving with a score of 218.70 and placed second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 192.22.
Junior
Matt Kenvin secured a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a personal best time of 5:02.33 and picked up a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.02).
Junior
Bill Megas continued his strong weekend in the pool with two personal bests today in the 400 IM (4:30.09) and in the 100-yard butterfly (57.72).

Zach Matthews swam to a personal best in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.67. In the 100-yard freestyle, three of the four Union swimmers set new personal records: junior

Drew Hill recorded a 59.64. Junior
Andre Thornton set a new personal best in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:38.43. The 100-yard breaststroke saw both Union swimmers, Hill and Boyd, set new lifetime bests of 1:07.13 and 1:09.53, respectively.
The 50-yard freestyle saw both senior
Marcus Diaz and junior
Jonathan Osma set season bests with times of 24.31 and 25.72, respectively.
Union is back in action on Saturday against Ithaca College for senior day. The first event is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Alumni Gym Pool.
