SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team continued their strong start to the 2023-24 season with a 156-74 win over Liberty League foe Clarkson University on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.
With the win, the team moves to 3-0 on the season, marking the first 3-0 start for the program since the 2006-07 campaign.

Aurelie Truquet had a career day on the boards, claiming the top spot in both the 1-meter diving and the 3-meter diving. Truquet earned 172.58 points in the 1-meter event and 175.65 in the 3-meter.

Alison Silver posted a first-place finish to get the meet started with a time of 2:00.60.
Gowern added a pair of first-place finishes to her season, claiming the top spot in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:28.80 and in the 400-yard IM with a time of 5:04.36. First-year
Grace Furtado raced to a personal best time and a third-place finish in the 400-yard IM with a time of 5:16.19.

Jessica Konsky continued her strong rookie campaign with a pair of wins on the afternoon. Konsky set a season-best time in the 100-yard free with a time of 57.66 and finished the 200-yard free in 2:03.56. Konsky also swam the third leg of the winning 200-yard free relay team which finished in 1:46.73.

Chloe Matthews won the 50-yard free with a season-best time of 26.99. Matthews also swam the second leg of the 200-yard free relay.
Malik and Furtado went one-two in the 200-yard backstroke with times of 2:19.29 and 2:25.37, respectively.
Union claimed the top four spots in the 200-yard breaststroke with Valenti earning the first-place finish with a time of 2:41.83. Junior

Ella Bouvier rounded out the top four for the Garnet Chargers.
Union has a quick turnaround as they travel to Oneonta tomorrow morning to compete in the Hartwick Relays.
