ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Union College men's crew team continued their fall campaign on Saturday at the Head of the Genesee, a 5,000-meter race, held on the Genesee River.

In a straight head-to-head race in the Men's Collegiate 2nd Varsity 8+, Union finished second behind Rochester Institute of Technology with a time of 17:47.466. The Union boat consisted of junior Sarah DeRosa (coxswain), junior Miles Fee (stroke), sophomore Benjamin Stern (7 seat), first-year Stuart Livingston (6 seat), junior Grant Bouvin (5 seat), first-year Danny Bender (4 seat), first-year Kenneth Kromer (3 seat), junior Zach McConnell (2 seat), first-year Chase McDivitt (bow).

In the Men's Collegiate Varsity 8+, Union finished in third, 15.325 seconds off of first-place finisher Rochester Institute of Technology with a time of 16:57.150. Competing for Union was senior Tony Griffin (coxswain), first-year Angus Hall (stroke), senior Cole Abdinoor (7 seat), senior Harrison White (6 seat), junior Alex Chan (5 seat), sophomore Erik Roberts (4 seat), first-year Wolfgang Bodge (3 seat), senior Ethan Conrad (2 seat), senior Braman Cronin (bow).

The men's Collegiate 4+ faced stiff competition in Liberty League foes St. Lawrence University, Clarkson University, and the University of Rochester, as well as Binghamton University. The team finished in seventh with a time of 21:47.555. Union's boat was made up of junior Charlie Whiteford (coxswain), sophomore Sam Flynn (stroke), sophomore Josh Atkinson (3 seat), junior Josh Vaidman (2 seat), sophomore Nick Meyer (bow)

Union closes out the fall season in Philadelphia at the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday, October 28.
