SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team fell 167-117 to Skidmore College Saturday afternoon at Williamson Sports Center.
First-year
Jessica Konsky won the 200-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 2:03.07. Konsky added a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:35.61, only 1.58 seconds off from the first-place finisher.
Junior
Kristina Valenti had another strong performance in the 100-yard breaststroke to take first with a time of 1:13.55. Valenti went on to win the 200-yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 2:38.06. Junior
Molly Miller came in second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 2:41.30.
First-year
Chloe Matthews won the 100-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 57.46 and added a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a season-best time of 1:05.72.
Classmate
Amelia Dino was edged out at the wall by .19 seconds to take second-place in the 100-yard backstroke with a personal-best time of 1:06.57.
Junior
Aurelie Truquet and first-year
Matia Malish grabbed the top two spots in the 1-meter diving. Truquet claimed first with 190.13 points and Malish took second with 154.65 points. Malish earned key points for Union with a first-place finish in the 3-meter diving with 160.50 points.
Union is off for the next two weeks before making the trip to the Bomber Invitational on December 1 hosted by Ithaca College.
