ITHACA, N.Y. – Junior
Matt Kenvin of the Union College men's swimming and diving team broke the school record in the 100-yard breaststroke to highlight day three of the Liberty League Championships.
Union held steady in fifth place on day three of the Liberty League Swimming and Diving Championships with 544 points, only four behind fourth-place Skidmore.
In the preliminary session this morning, Kenvin broke John Enquist's record of 56.74 from 2016 in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.01. In the final, Kenvin swam a 56.04 and finished in third to earn All-Liberty League Honorable Mention for the second time this week.

Zach Matthews claimed sixth-place with a time of 7:15.48.
In the 200-yard butterfly, Tucker and Megas both earned spots in the B final. Tucker finished in 1:57.73 and Megas was right behind him with a time of 1:57.78.
Sophomore
James Javier Jr. competed in the 100-yard backstroke B final, finishing the race in 55.56 which places him ninth in the program's top-10 list. Boyd raced in the C final, finishing second with a time of 56.21. Javier Jr. also raced in the 100-yard breaststroke C final, finishing first with a time of 59.57.
Union is back in action for the final day of the Liberty League Championships tomorrow. The first event is slated for 10:00 a.m. at Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.
