Junior Austin Gregory represented Union in the semifinals of the "C" Singles bracket after two wins yesterday. He was unable to continue his run on Sunday, however, falling 8-2 to third-seeded and eventual champion Ethan Samora of Rochester.

First-year Keita Fukushima also came up short in the semifinals of the "D" Singles bracket on Sunday, dropping a close 8-6 match to Hamilton's Ignatio Tran.

Many of the consolation brackets were not completed on Sunday, but junior Kurtik Appadoo earned the only victory of the "D" Singles consolation semifinals, defeating St. Lawrence's MJ Chaho by an 8-4 score.

In the "A" Doubles consolation bracket, Fukushima and Gregory made their way all to the finals before finishing two games short of a title, falling 8-6 to Nick Fischer and Aidan Staunton of Hobart.

Both Union tandems also lost in the semifinals of the "B" Doubles consolation bracket. Appadoo and first-year Shreyas Kode fell 8-3 to Cole Hamilton and Aidan Baracao of St. Lawrence, while senior Khai Ton and sophomore Jonathan Tsipenyuk dropped an 8-2 decision to Eric Dubilirer and Hampus Kristiansson of Ithaca.

Union will come home to continue its fall season next weekend, hosting the annual Dutchman Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Union Tennis Courts.
