SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team dropped a 160-55 decision to #20 Middlebury College on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.

The 200-yard medley relay team of sophomore Sasha Malik, sophomore Molly Miller, first-year Chloe Matthews, and junior Kristina Valenti placed fifth with a time of 1:58.13.

Matthews finished third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.35.  The first-year also finished in fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.73, only .55 seconds off of the third-place finisher.

First-year Ella Bouvier swam a personal best time of 2:11.41 in the 200-yard freestyle and also added a personal best time in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:31.21. Malik set a new season best time 2:18.50 in the 200-yard backstroke.  

Junior Ally Gowern raced to a season best time in the 200 IM with a time of 2:22.95.

Union has a quick turnaround with a meet on Sunday at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The first event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Robison Pool.
