SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team dropped a 187-95 decision to Vassar College on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.

The two-member senior class was honored in their final home meet prior to the first race, as
Emily Langlois and
Morgan Malinow were recognized along with the men's team's eight seniors for their four years with the Garnet Chargers.
Â
Langlois and Malinow went back-to-back in the 1000-yard freestyle, taking third and fourth with times of 12:03.02 and 12:13.60, respectively.

Union earned 13 points in both diving events, with junior
Aurelie Truquet taking first in both the one-meter and three-meter dives and first-year
Matia Malish nabbing second place in both events.

Juniors
Kristina Valenti and
Molly Miller both added runner-up finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, respectively, with Valenti touching the wall in 1:13.09 in the eight-swimmer field and Miller finishing in 2:43.41. Sophomore
Sasha Malik earned a second-place finish as well in the 100 backstroke, beating a pair of Vassar swimmers with a time of 1:02.96.

First-years
Chloe Matthews and
Grace Furtado both nabbed second-place finishes, with Matthews earning four points with a time of 26.21 seconds in the 50 freestyle and Furtado finishing the 200 butterfly in 2:30.28.

The 400-yard medley relay team of Malik, Valenti, Matthews, and first-year
Jessica Konsky led off the day by placing third with a time of 4:15.51.

Union closes out the regular season next weekend with a tri-meet against Ithaca College and SUNY Geneseo. The first event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.Â
