SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's swimming and diving team opened their season with a 136-98 loss to Roberts Wesleyan on Friday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.
The 200-medley relay team opened the meet on a strong note with a win. The team of junior

Brayden Green, senior
Walter Kraus, and first-year
Nick Megas finished the race in 1:40.90, almost nine full seconds faster than the second-place team.
Hill and Megas went back-to-back in the 50 free to claim the top two spots with times of 22.15 and 22.51, respectively. In his first collegiate race in over a year due to injury, junior Ben Sperling earned fourth with a time 23.89.
Senior Anthony Piacentini finished second in the 1000 free with a time of 11:32.32, edging out Ronald Pasieka at the wall by .46 seconds. Piacentini went on to win the 500 free with a time of 5:22.84
Megas earned his first individual win in the 100 free with a time of 49.86.
Sophomore
Gavin Baltes claimed a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 back and 200 free with times of 1:00.89 and 1:58.93, respectively.

On the boards, senior
Colin Farrell finished second in the three-meter diving with a score of 203.55. Farrell went on to finish second in the one-meter diving with a score of 195.08.
Union has a short turnaround as they head to Clarkson University in the morning for a 1:00 p.m. meet in Potsdam.
