Ella Tycz and sophomore
Sadie White of the Union College women's crew team were recognized with spots on the 2024 All-Liberty League teams, the conference office announced on Friday afternoon.
Tycz was one of 10 Liberty League rowers to earn a spot on the All-Conference first team, while White was one of 10 to find a place on the second team. It is the first All-Liberty League honor for both rowers.
Tycz took to the water in seven of the team's eight competitions as a senior, sitting in the bow seat for six varsity 8 races as well as one varsity 4 and one second varsity 4 race. She helped row the varsity 4 boat to third place in the grand final of the New York State Collegiate Championships, going up against Division I competition.
White competed in 10 races between the varsity 8 and varsity 4 boats in her second collegiate season, sitting mostly in the four seat during varsity 8 races and taking the stroke seat in four varsity 4 competitions. White helped row the varsity 4 boat to third place in the grand final of the New York State Collegiate Championships, going up against Division I competition.
With Tycz set to graduate this spring, White is slated to return to the varsity boats in 2024-25.
