SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's crew team opened the fall slate with a pair of first-place finishes to bring home medals at the Mohawk Fall Classic held on the Mohawk River on Sunday.
The team enjoyed a sunny day with very little wind and relatively calm water on the 3,700-meter course.
The Varsity 8+ picked up their first win of the season with a time of 13:14.40 to edge out St. Lawrence University by 2.50 seconds and over 46 seconds faster than Binghamton University. Union's winning boat was comprised of senior

The duo of
Angus Hall (stroke) and Kromer (bow) started the day off for the Garnet Chargers and came in fifth in the collegiate double with a time of 16:10.50.
The Garnet Chargers travel to Rochester on Saturday, October 12, to compete in the Head of the Genesee held on the Genesee River.
