SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's crew team started the fall season strong with both the Varsity 8+ and the Varsity 4+ bringing home medals at the Mohawk Fall Classic held on the Mohawk River on Sunday.
The team enjoyed a sunny day with very little wind and relatively calm water on the 3,700-meter course.
The Varsity 4+ narrowly edged out Liberty League rival St. Lawrence by 0.82 seconds to capture first with a time of 17:05.59. The Saints clocked in at 17:06.41 with Binghamton University placing third. Union's winning boat was comprised of junior
