SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team honored the seven members of the senior class in the final home meet of the season. Union dropped a 187-47 decision to #19 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Gym Pool.
Prior to the meet, the Garnet Chargers honored the seven members of the class of 2025:
Gabi Acosta,
Maya Gerber,
Ally Gowern,
Meghan Seidberg,
Aurelie Truquet,
Kristina Valenti, and
Molly Miller.
Truquet had a career day on the boards in her final home meet. The senior diver posted a personal best score in the 1-meter diving by 30.45 points to earn second place. Truquet went on to take second in the 3-meter diving and posted a new personal best for the second week in a row with 223.50 points.
Senior
Ally Gowern placed third in the 400 IM with a time of 5:07.16.
Valenti set a personal best time in the 200 free with a time of 2:04.42 to take fourth place. Valenti and Miller went two-three in the 100 breast with times of 1:11.76 and 1:12.60, respectively.
Sophomore
Chloe Matthews claimed third in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.85 and also picked up a fourth-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 26.43.
Sophomore
Jess Konsky set a new season-best time in the 100 free, clocking a 57.32 to earn second.
The 200 free relay recorded a time of 1:46.22 to finish second. Union's team was made up of sophomore
Grace Furtado, Matthews, junior
Alison Silver, and Valenti.
Union closes out the regular season on Friday at Vassar College. The first event is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Kresge Pool.
