SCHENETCADY, N.Y. – Union College men's swimming & diving first-year Troy Luley posted the sixth-fastest 200 breaststroke time in program history on Saturday, touching the wall in 2:09.81 during Union's 150.5-142.5 win over Skidmore College at Alumni Gym Pool. 

Luley was one of three Garnet Chargers to win four events in the meet, joined by sophomore Nick Mega and senior Drew Hill. Those three were the top-scoring swimmers of the day, and Lucas Miller rounded out the all-Union top-four with 17 points. Altogether, Union championed 11 events to edge out the Thoroughbreds by eight. 
 
Luley, Hill, and Mega were joined by first-year Tripp Kennedy on the first-place 200 medley relay (1:38.96). Luley also won the 100 breaststroke (1:00.19) and the 200 individual medley (2:02.26) on his way to high-point honors. 

Hill won the 100 backstroke (56.28), the 100 butterfly (52.65), and anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:28.58) with Mega, Kennedy, and junior Gavin Baltes.

Kennedy added a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:45.73) to his pair of relay victories, and Miller was the first to finish the 1,000 freestyle, completing his 40 laps in 10:41.56.

Mega swept the freestyle events he competed in, winning the 50 freestyle (21.71) and the 100 freestyle (48.97), as well as leading off the winning 200 free relay.

Junior Cole Pierson made his debut with the Garnet Chargers off the 1-meter board and placed third with a score of 141.68. Sophomore Finn Weafer scored a 137.63 with six attempts in the competition. 

The Garnet Chargers do not have another dual meet until Saturday, Jan. 3 in Amherst, Mass. against the Mammoths. Union will compete next at the Bomber Invitational, a three-day event hosted by Ithaca College beginning Thursday, Dec. 4.
