TROY, N.Y. –  Sophomore Olivia Cunningham of the Union College women's basketball team earned the first weekly conference honor of her career while four other teams combined for five honor roll picks for the week ending on December 8, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.

Women's Basketball Performer of the Week: Olivia Cunningham
Cunningham averaged 14.5 points on 54.2 percent shooting, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week for Union. The sophomore went for 14 points and nine boards in three periods of action in Friday's 80-57 win over St. Lawrence, hitting 7-of-13 shots from the field and scoring 12 points in the middle two frames as Union outscored SLU by 22 to seal the win early. She led all players with 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in Saturday's 91-45 win over Clarkson, including nine points, nine rebounds and five assists before halftime as the home team emptied the bench in the second half.

Men's Basketball: Jack Plesser
Plesser averaged 22.5 points and 8.0 rebounds to go with three blocks, three steals and three assists in a 2-0 conference weekend for Union. The junior had 20 points and eight boards in Friday's 72-68 win over St. Lawrence and scored six of the team's last eight points to clinch the win, including a fast-break dunk with 14 seconds left to provide key insurance points and account for the final score. He added a game-high 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting with eight boards, three steals, two blocks and two assists in just 26 minutes of Saturday's 85-70 comeback win over Clarkson, with 19 coming in the second half as Union outscored the Golden Knights by 19 in the final frame to overcome a halftime deficit.

Men's Swimming & Diving: Nick Megas
Megas earned two podium finishes at the Bomber Invitational last week. He finished third in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall in 21.00 and posting the sixth-fastest 50-free time in program history. He also finished third in the 100 freestyle (46.66). Megas also earned a spot in the A-final of the 200 freestyle, placing seventh (1:44.88). Rounding out his weekend, Megas anchored Union's fifth-place 400 medley relay (3:32.88) and swam the third leg of the fourth-place 800 freestyle relay (7:07.79).

Women's Swimming & Diving: Chloe Matthews
Matthews recorded three lifetime-best times in all of her individual events at the Bomber Invitational. She touched the wall in 54.65 of the 100 freestyle, finishing 13th. She finished 11th in the 100 butterfly (1:00.51) and 14th in the 200 individual medley (2:20.33) and achieved her lifetime-best swims during the prelims of both of those events. As a member of four relays, she led off the sixth-place 800 freestyle relay (8:30.11) and fifth-place 400 freestyle relay (3:45.32). Matthews also anchored the fifth-place 400 medley relay (4:12.27) and swam the third leg of the 200 medley relay, which placed eighth (1:56.14).

Men's Indoor Track & Field: Jason Bois, Mason Lang
Bois took fourth place in the 60-meter hurdles at the Utica Holiday Classic on Saturday, finishing in 8.81 seconds in the preliminaries and taking five-hundredths off with an 8.76-second run in the finals to earn himself a spot at the conference championships. Lang led four Union entries in the shot put with a career-best mark of 14.34 meters to place fourth overall and also paced six Garnet Chargers in the weight throw, just missing a career-best with a mark of 13.60 meters.
